White Goose (Cygnus)

ITS–G-112-angsaThis Goose is included in the bird group, and lives close to water. Having a long neck, this kind of fowl can easily take its food from the bottom of a pool or river. While for swimming, it uses two short feet with membranes between its toes.

Geese are categorized into such several types, as Cygnus (swans), Anser and Branta. Anser and Branta are types of geese or Coscoroba, living as permanent pairs. They breed by laying eggs which can be 12 eggs at one time which take 30 – 35 days to hatch. They feed on plants, seeds of grass and worms.
